So there has been a lot going on in this little shop recently… a reshuffle indoors, but I’ll let Katie tell you about that, and there will be an exciting new trolley of plants outside.
Our gardening business is asked so often for wild flower meadows, understandably, they are the epitomy of a wild English countryside scene. However, that natural look is actually quite difficult to achieve. Wild flowers usually prefer low nutrient soils and do not like competition from faster growing species like grasses.

So to have any chance of success with wild flower seeds you need to sow them onto areas cleared of any other vegetation… particularly grass. In smaller areas we tend to use wild flower plug plants. Instant gratification for those of you who are quite impatient like me ! You can also add these to a lawn to create a meadow look or add to a border to give a real cottage garden feel. We are really excited to have found two lovely ladies who are growing wild flowers right on our door step and they will be selling them from The Potting Sheds shop very soon. We are really looking forward to working with Buzz Stop wild flowers…
